This 180ml teapot can brew any type of tea, but works best with more delicate teas. It brews enough tea for 1 to 3 people, and the Zhunni clay allows the tea to breathe, maintains the optimal temperature, and draws out a more rounded and complex flavor from the leaves.

The clay, when mined, is yellow and chalky. However, it’s very high in iron. It’s this unique composition, along with the high firing temperatures, that produce the striking red color.

Zhuni clay has a high shrinkage rate, with pieces reducing by up to a quarter in the kiln. Larger pieces are also prone to splitting and breaking. As a result, it’s usually reserved for smaller pieces, with this 180ml teapot sitting on the larger size of the scale.

It’s strong, stable, and highly durable, but the porous nature and mineral composition greatly enhance the tea drinking experience.
