Tenmoku Tea Cup

Description

This Tenmoku Tea Cup is the perfect tea-sipping cup for any type of tea. It is lightweight and glazed, making it easy to handle and great for bringing out the soft water properties in tea.

The design, also known as Jianzhan, dates as far back as the Song Dynasty. Revived in the early to mid 2000s, Tenmoku has become synonymous with high-end and artistic tea cups.

You can use any tea with this selection. However, it works best with Green Tea & Black Tea. At approximately 50ml in capacity, it’s big enough for a single person drinking one serving of tea.

As with all Tenmoku Tea Cups, the design is unique. There may be similar pieces out there, but nothing exactly the same. Variations in the mineral composition of the clay, as well as the firing process, can slightly alter the final appearance of the cup. It means that every piece is unique, but guaranteed to be of the highest quality.
