Description
Handcrafted from authentic Zisha clay sourced in Yixing, China, this Zisha Teapot is an embodiment of authenticity.
It’s meticulously made from Zhunni Clay, which is traditionally reserved for brewing Puerh Tea due to its porous nature and high mineral composition.
Simply put, the minerals in the clay impart a delicate but noticeable balance to the tea, bringing out more of those rich, ripe, earthy flavors while muting some of the bitter notes. Despite its porous qualities, the clay has excellent heat retention properties and will keep your dark tea brew at the optimal temperature while you drink.
Finally, a little bit of every tea you brew soaks into the clay. Over time, it creates a unique patina, but it also enhances the flavor of each additional brew. It’s these qualities that made Zhunni Clay such a popular choice among tea enthusiasts several centuries ago. It’s also why artisans continue to craft pieces from this material today.
This teapot is a masterpiece of the aged Zisha teaware craft. A Yixing Teapot Master crafted this piece way back in the 1990s. The teapot features an elegant, elongated stem for effortless pouring, as well as a spacious handle. It’s not just for personal use but can serve 2-3 people with ease.
