Description
Taiwan, China, and Vietnam all produce Osmanthus Oolong, with Taiwan offering the most refined expressions of this uniquely flavored tea. Our resident tea master harvests organic osmanthus and pairs it with premium Alishan Oolong to craft this distinctive blend.
The result is an intensely floral tea. Essentially, it’s all the sweetness and creaminess of Oolong combined with the delicate, aromatic flavors of osmanthus. Many tea drinkers liken the flavors and experience to jasmine tea, which also combines quality tea leaves with fresh blossoms. The taste is a little different, though.
Osmanthus Oolong is more honeyed, buttery, and fruity. Rather than the floral-forward flavors you get from jasmine tea, it’s a complex blend that delivers a one-touch punch of citrus and apricot backed by buttery candies and cream.
