Stored for decades, this teapot offers an aged, classic look with balanced weight, smooth pour, and easy handling. It’s perfect for steeping tea for 2–3 people.

As with other Duanni clay teapots, our Handmade Medium Large Zisha Duanni Clay Teapot provides excellent heat retention properties to keep your tea at the optimal temperature. It’s also porous, with oils from each brew seeping into the clay and gradually seasoning the pot over time.

The minerals in the clay, along with the heat retention properties, may also mute some of the bitter compounds in tea without affecting the richer, sweeter, and more floral notes.

The tradition of using Duanni clay dates back several centuries. It stems from the unique mineral composition, as well as the distinctive colors it forms during the firing process.
