Description
This Jincha Puerh is a raw Puerh from the Xiaguan Tea Factory. Aged since 2008, it has a very robust and bold flavor that is slightly sweet and malty, but not bitter. We are one of the few providers of aged Puerh tea from the Xiaguan Tea Factory, located in Yunnan, China.
Known as “Tight Tea”, in reference to the shape of the tea cakes, this tea can be very harsh and bitter in its young state. It’s brisk and smoky. However, in carefully controlled conditions, the tea will mature over the years. Our Jincha Raw Puerh has been slowly and naturally aging since 2008.
During that time, microbial fermentation and oxidation have transformed the tea. There’s minimal bitterness and no harshness. It’s sweet, malty, woody, and robust.
