The production process begins with a gourmet black tea from Taiwan. Although Taiwan is best-known for its Oolong production, its climate and terroir are perfect for black tea production.

Black tea from India or China usually has strong malty flavors. It’s deep and rich. However, Taiwanese Black Tea is more fruit-forward, with flavors of dried fruits and stone fruits.

Tea masters complement these flavors by infusing the leaves with locally-grown lemons. The fruit adds a sharp citrus note. It mellows out those earthy flavors, and adds a citrus kick.
