The vast majority of the tea grown, harvested, processed, and sold around the world comes from carefully managed tea plantations. Farmers constantly prune the tea bushes to keep them at a manageable height. It ensures the shrubs produce high yields, but it also makes them easier to harvest.

Arbor trees are different, though. These trees are what happens to those bushes when they are allowed to grow. They grow in the wild and develop deep root systems. As a result, they draw more minerals from the soil and impart more mineral flavors in the tea leaves.

Our Aged Large Leaf Old Arbor Puerh Tea comes from trees such as this. After harvesting and processing, the tea was then left to ferment. Over the years, it retains those mineral flavors and earthy, ripe notes, but also develops a unique sweetness and complexity.

The longer the tea ages, the more complex those flavors become. This selection captures the uniqueness of Arbor Puerh Tea in an aged format.
