Description
Tie Luo Han, known as “Iron Monk” in English, is a dark roasted oolong from the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian, China. It ranks as the third most popular rock tea in the country’s gourmet Oolong tea capital. Local farmers regard this Oolong as the most esteemed option.
This heavy roast tea features calming wood notes and a high mountain oolong fragrance, leading to a pleasant returning sweetness (“hui gan”) at the front of the palate. With medium-high caffeine content and a smooth finish, it offers an excellent coffee alternative without the jitters. Out of all the Wuyi Rock teas, Tie Luo Han is our personal favorite selection.
