Single Origin Tea refers to tea grown native to a specific area. It is not mixed with any other types of tea leaf varieties. The term also means that the tea trees from which the tea is grown has taken root for more than 20 years, although some debate whether this number should be longer.

Many tea producers obtain their teas by mixing low end selections from various regions. Some of the most popular mixes include low end varieties from Indonesia and Vietnam. Such teas are usually not from tea trees that have taken root for the mentioned time period and are seen as too fresh to be considered single rooted.

Meanwhile, Single Estate means all of the production and harvesting come from one tea master or family. Our teas all fall under this category to ensure quality.
